Meet the Founder
Yogi Heath is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with over two decades of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Her practice, Sage Femme Birth Services, is rooted in holistic care, empowerment, and honoring the natural rhythm of birth in a safe and nurturing environment.
Birth Equity & Advocacy
Disparities are impediments to social justice.
Black mothers are three times more likely to die than White mothers from pregnancy-related causes.
Addressing the social determinants of health — the non-medical factors that influence a person’s health and wellbeing — is essential in reducing maternal and infant morbidity, prematurity, and low infant birthweight.
Public awareness of these statistics is crucial. Support your midwives by sharing their services with friends and families. There must be accountability across government agencies, employers, schools, churches, outreach programs, and community organizations to improve pregnancy outcomes for vulnerable populations.
Together, we can help create a future where every mother and baby receives the dignity, care, and support they deserve.
